A filly from the first crop of Russian Revolution was the highest priced yearling sold during the second session of the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale on Tuesday when fetching $190,000.
Consigned by Eureka Stud, the eye-catching chestnut filly from Pinpoint was bought by Morrissey Racing and is the third foal of a winning half-sister to stakes-winner Sugar Boom.
“The Russian Revolution filly was extremely popular right from the start of inspections and we’ve been rewarded nicely,” said Scott McAlpine.
“It turns out she was the filly of the sale today – she had plenty of admirers and she is heading to a great home.”
Our other young sires Extreme Choice, Winning Rupert and Flying Artie all had yearlings sell for $100,000 or more and Deep Field was the leading sire by average with three yearlings averaging $95,000.
