Yearlings by Capitalist and Deep Field were in hot demand at the record breaking Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, but they weren’t the only Newgate sires making news.
Young gun Russian Revolution was the leading first season sire by aggregate at this sale with 15 yearlings selling for $1,625,000 at an average $108,333.
His top seller was a colt from Pink Perfection that made $180,000 for Yulong when bought by Simple Bloodstock Services.
Extreme Choice had just three yearlings sold, but they averaged $216,667 to make him the third leading sire by average behind only I Am Invincible and Written Tycoon.
His best result was Yarraman Park’s filly from Rose of Mulan that made $420,000 when bought by O’Brien Thoroughbreds/ Yes Bloodstock.
Fresh from siring the winner of the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes in Artorius, Flying Artie had the equal highest priced yearling sold in the Showcase Session with his colt from Heads Up making $175,000 for Two Bays Farm when bought by Bevan Smith Bloodstock / Kuldeep Singh Rajput Singapore.
He also had a filly from On a Limb in the same session fetch $155,000 for Balius Farm when purchased by McDonald Racing.
Not to be left out, Winning Rupert hit the target in Book 1 with a filly from Sienna’s Fury making for $210,000 for Diamond Racing and Breeding when secured by Dalziel Bloodstock / Peter Moody Racing.
