Champion 2YO Stay Inside has sired his first foal, a cracking bay colt who is an almost identical mould to his Golden Slipper winning sire.
The colt is out of top American sprinting mare Excessivespending, who was purchased by bloodstock agent George Moore at this year’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $470,000. “An absolute belter and a stamp of his sire,” said Newgate’s Bruce Slade who inspected the foal today. “To have Stay Inside’s first foal as good as this is beyond exciting.”
Being a Golden Slipper winning Champion 2YO by Australia’s most elite sire statistically Extreme Choice, and covering the best book of first crop mares ever by a Newgate sire, it was no surprise to see his in-foal mares average $411,364 at this year’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale. If his first foal is any indicator, Stay Inside is a young sire that is poised to make a big impact.
