A competitive set of barrier trials for two year-olds at Randwick on Friday produced the first heat winner for Russian Revolution.
Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, who also prepared his sire to win two Group I races, Secret Revolution showed plenty of the natural talent that made his sire so successful.
He worked forward quickly from the gates to sit outside the leader for Tommy Berry and kept up a good gallop to win his 850m trial by a length held together.
A $300,000 Magic Millions purchase for Snowden Racing from the Widden Stud draft, Secret Revolution is the first foal from stakes-winning Denman mare Secret Trail.
Russian Revolution is busy covering his fourth book of mares at Newgate at a fee of $44,000 this spring.
