Joe O’Neil’s Prime Thoroughbreds colours were carried to victory at Warwick Farm on Wednesday by talented Deep Field filly Fituese.
The John Thompson trained filly was an easy debut winner at Newcastle in October before finishing a luckless sixth at her next run at Kembla.
Stepped up to a Benchmark 64 for this 1000 metre sprint, she rose to the challenge, powering to the line to win by two and a half lengths in a slick 56.45 seconds.
With two wins from three starts and prizemoney topping $56,000, Fituese looks to have a bright future.
A $55,000 Magic Millions Perth purchase for Prime Thoroughbreds from the Western Breeders Alliance draft, Fituese is the second winner from Cattalo, a Tiger Hill (IRE) grand-daughter of four-time Group I winner Mannerism.
Deep Field is the leading second crop sire by winners and has strong representation at 2020 sales.
