A brilliant record breaking sprinter on the track, Northern Meteor’s fastest son Deep Field has now made an indelible mark as a sire becoming the most successful second crop sire of winners in history.
At the end of the 2019/2020 racing season, Deep Field can look back on a busy 12 months siring 86 winners of 131 races that earned $5.3million in prizemoney.
70 of those winners were three year-old winners making Deep Field also the leading overall sire for winners of that age.
His winners include four stakes-winners headed by Group II winners Xilong and Cosmic Force along with Fituese and Riddle Me That as well as nine additional Black type performers.
Deep Field has also enjoyed his best ever year in the sale ring with 55 yearlings averaging $157,209 with a new benchmark set at Magic Millions this year when his colt from Roulettes sold for $800,000.
Deep Field stands at a fee of $55,000 this spring alongside his son Cosmic Force, who is priced at $16,500.
