Cosmic Force had the second highest priced offering on Sunday at Magic Millions during the first session of Book 2 with a colt from Typecast selling for $140,000.
The fifth foal of a metro winner by Exceed and excel, he was consigned by Fernrigg Farm and purchased by Red Crown Racing.
“He’d been a standout in the paddock from day one, always a sharp precocious colt, and really strong. We had to wean him early as he was so forward. We targeted this sale for him as he is a very typical Magic Millions horse and I’d expect to see him up early. We aimed him at Book 2 as he lacks a bit of depth in his pedigree, and we didn’t want him to get lost in Book 1. He’s done what we wanted,” said Rae-Louise Kelly of Fernrigg Farm.
Cosmic Force also had a good result during Book 1 with a colt from Black Mink making $180,000 for Telemon Thoroughbreds when bought by Yes Bloodstock.
