Promising young sire Cosmic Force had the second highest priced yearling of the day during the second and final session of Magic Millions Book 2 on Tuesday.
The Figtree Thoroughbreds consigned colt from Misshiraz is a half-brother to stakes-placed sprinter Deepour and was bought by his trainer Adam Campton, who also bought the two year-old Cosmic Force filly from Misshiraz at Inglis Classic last year for $45,000.
“Deepour is obviously the number one horse in our stable,” Campton said. “He’s been a great horse to me and the connections.
“We were very committed to buying him. He’s a horse we’d had our eye on over the last couple of weeks.
“He’s a beautiful bodied horse, he’s got a great nature like his sister and brother. The farm did a great job with him – they had him looking a million dollars.”
Cosmic Force also had a good result in Book 1 with a colt from Classique offered by Robyn Wise selling for $200,000 to Lindsay Park Racing.
Cosmic Force has made an encouraging start with three winners including ultra promising colt Stay Focused and speedy filly Devine Force, plus stakes-placed Beer Baron. He has eight entries for Inglis Classic.
