A Russian Revolution filly that had her name changed before she raced broke her maiden at Ballarat on Monday in good style.
Trained by Tony and Calvin McEvoy, Meetmein Melbourne was sent out favourite when resuming from a spell in the 1000m maiden and ran out an easy two length winner over Russian Revolution gelding Hartshorn at her fourth start.
A $180,000 Inglis Easter purchase for McEvoy Mitchell Racing / Belmont Bloodstock from the Newgate Farm draft, Meetmein Melbourne is a half-sister to Group II winner Xilong and is the sixth winner from six foals to race from Group III winning Testa Rossa mare Pane in the Glass.
The filly has brought an update for her older winning half-sister by Capitalist called Madam Louvre, who will be offered by Noorilim Park at the Inglis Great Southern Sale as Lot 411 in foal to Wild Ruler in her first season at stud.
