The second highest priced yearling sold at Magic Millions Adelaide on Tuesday was a Capitalist colt that made $200,000 when secured by George Moore Bloodstock.
Consigned by Emirates Park, the handsome chestnut is the fourth foal of unraced Snitzel mare Figlmuller and is a three-quarter brother-in-blood to Group III winner Sebonack, who was also fourth in the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes.
“He’s a three-quarter brother to Sebonack, so hopefully the pedigree works now. I’m really happy with the result because I thought he’d make more,” George Moore told ANZ Bloodstock News.
“We had three or four we bought in his first season and three of them have so far been exported to Hong Kong and they’re all Class 2 horses.
“We are yet to get a top Capitalist out of the horses we’ve bought, but I am sure that’s just a matter of time before we get a really good one. They’re suited to Hong Kong.
“A lot of them are 1200-metre horses and there’s a lot of 1200 to 1400-metre races in Hong Kong.”
Capitalist has sired four winners in Hong Kong from just seven runners.
