Deep Field has got his century of winners for this season with a debut victory at the relocated provincial meeting Scone on Tuesday for a homebred for Torryburn Stud.
Sporting the familiar white colours with the red heart, three year-old Deep Field gelding Jamesonheart was sent to the post for the 1100m maiden as a short priced favourite with Willie Pike on board.
Well prepared by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Jamesonheart stalked the leaders and finished strongly to score a half neck win in testing wet conditions.
Jamesonheart was passed in at Inglis Easter and retained to race by the Cornish family and is the second winner from well bred Street Cry (IRE) mare Alecia Beth, a grand-daughter of stakes-winner True Blonde from the family of Golden Slipper winner Forensics.
Jamesonheart becomes the 100th winner for Deep Field, who is set to make his presence felt at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale with 15 entries, click here to see them.
