A powerhouse chestnut colt by Deep Field topped the final day of Book 2 at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale on Monday.
A half brother to stakes gallopers Nieta and Tumbler and four other winners from good producer Brookton Flash, he was presented at the sale by Grandview and was purchased by Wattle Bloodstock for an international client.
Wattle Bloodstock’s Peter Twomey was delighted to secure the colt after missing out on a number of quality colts during the past week.
“He’s a nice moving horse and has a great attitude,” Twomey said. “He’s a pretty straight forward style of horse.
“The sire is going well here in Australia as well as across Asia.
“The mare has produced a couple of black type horses and a few other nice winners by a range of stallions and now she’s produced a good colt by Deep Field.
“He looks to be a three-year-old style of horse and that’s what we’re wanting with him – to race at three and older.”
His dam Brookton Flash was covered last spring by Deep Field’s brilliant son Cosmic Force.
