Last season’s Champion First Crop Sire, Russian Revolution is on the board with his first two year-old winner from his second crop of foals with Beluga Express saluting at Ballarat on Saturday.
Trained by Ben and JD Hayes, Beluga Express was a short priced favourite for the 1000m juvenile maiden on the strength of his debut fourth placing in the Listed VRC Maribyrnong Trial.
Race experience served him well with Beluga Express showing good fight to hold off all challengers and win by a short neck.
