A stunning liver chestnut colt from the first crop of Winning Rupert was the highest priced colt sold in the Showcase Session on Tuesday at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
Consigned by Woodside Park, the colt from Call Me Sachi made $175,000 when secured by Upper Bloodstock Hong Kong.
“The Winning Rupert colt, he’s a wonderful physical, he paraded like an absolute superstar and paraded at the end of the week exactly how he did at the start of the week,” said Woodside Park’s James Price.
“He’s got a wonderful walk, he never turned a hair, never got upset, grumpy, it’s hard not to like him.’’
Winning Rupert has enjoyed strong results at all the sales this year and has a significant draft for the Adelaide Magic Millions starting on March 10 with 10 yearlings catalogued for sale.
